Windows Phone has been Microsoft’s major effort to make a space for themselves in the markets.
They have been ranked third when it comes to the smartphone wars as the Android OS and the iOS take the top two spots.
However, the company does have great plans for the future of the Windows Phone OS and it does plan to provide many improvements to it.
When Microsoft purchased Nokia, it was evident that they will be using the Nokia phones to promote their Windows Phone 10 Operating Systems.
It was pretty obvious and that was indeed what happened.
The re-branded the Nokia Lumia phones into the Microsoft Lumia phones and are now pushing them in the name of Microsoft.
The company is doing all they can to promote their phones and the eventual arrival of Windows Phone 10 OS is an additional benefit to them.
Though the concept of Windows Phone has been there for a very long time, the modern version of windows phone is quite new.
Microsoft has put in a lot of time and effort behind it and they have finally decided on Windows Phone 10 being their ‘big’ attempt at pushing the Windows Phone and promoting the brand Microsoft.
Windows is already the most popular OS on the planet for PCs, and people are very comfortable using it.
The idea for Windows Phone 10 is that they will be making it easy to use, and it will also be something that would work in tandem with your computer.
It would make transfer of files from PC to phone much easier. The users of the Windows Phone 10 will be getting many new features and internal rumors indicate that this is a move that will be done to combat what the iOS does with its phones.
As Macintosh provides a great support to the iOS devices, the same will happen between Windows PCs and Windows Phones.
It is also being rumoured that the Windows Phone 10 users will be able to connect their phones wirelessly to the computers/laptops and that they will be able to make or receive calls from their computers itself.
The users will also be able to access their phone via their computer and can stream files from the phone into the PC and the PC files into the mobile effortlessly with the help of inbuilt applications which promote the One Platform policy.
Basically, with all these news floating around the internet, we may or may not be sure of the future, but one thing that is for certain that can be said is the fact that the future of the OS in form of Windows Phone 10 would indeed by very interesting.
