The iOS 9.1 was a major improvement for all the new iOS device users and the users of all devices that upgraded to the iOS 9.
Apple has always been prompt in delivering updates to users and a lot of improvements have come by.
Millions of users are using their devices and are satisfied with the care they take of their consumers.
This has prompted developers of major apps like WhatsApp to improve their services towards iOS users as well.
More currently speaking, the applications have begun to streamline themselves according to the iOS 9.1 and its features so that users are able to make use of its new features like 3D touch technology even within the applications.
A new feature that WhatsApp has come up with especially for iOS9.1 users is the Quick reply feature which is something it had wanted to introduce for quite some time.
With the help of the Quick reply feature, users would be able to reply to the contacts easily. They would be able to reply directly from the notification center without having to go to the application itself.
This should ring a bell for users of Viber on iOS, that had the quick reply feature introduced quite some time back, although not identically as this, but like a smart notification.
This feature will be applicable only to the people who have been able to upgrade their phones to iOS9.1.
The Quick reply feature has not been recently introduced. This has been introduced way back with Apple’s own messaging app when it came along with the iOS 8 and it is commendable that it has allowed external applications to be able to use this feature too. Together, this created a great experience for the new iOS device users.
All users of iOS 9.1 devices have been advised by apple strictly to upgrade to this version of WhatsApp as soon as possible as it is going to be able to take care of major stability issues and bugs and also introduce new Emojis.
Many users might see that even though they upgraded to iOS 9.1, the quick reply feature has not taken effect. In order to have this in place, go to the Multitasking UI and force close the application.
This must then be reopened. The Quick reply feature should start working now.
Apple Watch users who have iOS 9.1 devices will be able to get the feature on their Apple watches. Although preset replies are present other options can also be given a try.
