Launched on 16th November, 2015 with a file size of approximately 50 to 52 MB, the application has almost sworn to make lives of users much more convenient when it comes to using WhatsApp.
Users are being treated to the best possible features and a lot of new stuff when it comes to the addition of new emoticons and settings.
The heart of the iOS 9 devices now is the 3D Touch technology and applications has already rebuilt themselves to fit the bill for the iOS 9 features.
In fact even people with iOS 8 devices will be able to see that there are subtle changes to the way that the setting of the application will appear.
Rather than the same green and white or sometimes grey combinations, the application has now added some color to the settings options.
The peek and pop feature has also been made functional. Now, when you light press a chat you will see a preview that some sources have referred to as the ‘rich preview’.
This will be a clear sneak peek into what the real link or the message is going to be like.
A press that is longer or harder will open up the option to be able to go to the page or the chat directly.
This is a good option as if you are visiting an in app link then you can go to the link directly without having to open up a new browser page each time.
Now for the most important part, Emoticons.
This is an aspect of the application that people have been waiting to see updates in the application. Now WhatsApp has finally been able to bring to the emoji list the very popular middle finger emoji, that you can send across in various skin tones.
About six skin tones are roughly available and on light pressing on an emoji you will be given the option to select the skin tone. Skin tones are available even for other emojis in the list, all of which are pertaining to humans.
There is no major update regarding the smiley emojis.
Well the next that we are all looking for is the possibility of seeing stickers on WhatsApp which might be too much to think of right now but it might be a good add on to the application.
