The world of technology has been growing quite rapidly, and the latest that we hear from it, we’ve been progressing like never before. Apple has been one such name which has helped progress us seamlessly! The company in itself has progressed in leaps and bounds, and has helped the markets at large grow like never before. It is with the help of Apple’s technology that we have seen several revolutions in the world of technology, and most important of all, it brings in an innovation in design. Apple’s design has been one which has brought in a fresh perspective to things in recent times. The company has recently been developing the Apple TV, and the latest from Apple TV is that the VLC for Apple TV is now out.
VLC Media Player has been around for a long time and has made a name for itself in the world of technology because of its ability to play almost all kinds of files in the world of videos. The VLC for Apple TV brings in many new features, and this is the first time for any Apple device that it has been natively introduced.
As per Apple Insider, the VLC for Android brings in many new features for the Apple TV, such as chapter selection, and choosing between multiple audio and subtitle tracks where available. Subtitles can be rendered in text or bitmap format, and downloaded on the fly if they’re not present locally.
Video files from DLNA/UPnP, SMB, FTP, and even Plex can be played directly on to the VLC for Apple TV. Remote Playback is the latest feature which has especially been introduced for Apple TV. This feature allows the users to employ the use of another application or even a Web browser to push media. The Web interface of this is quite simple, and simply involves dragging and dropping files or stream URLs onto a special page. Users can also do basic playback control once they’re on that page.
