Microsoft has been among some of the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company has been coming out with a large number of innovations, updates and upgrades, and has brought forward many changes in the way we know the markets of technology to be. The company has been moving into the hardware space over the past few years, and they are now taking one major step forward as they get ready to release even more hardware devices. The surface series of devices have been doing really well into the market, and a new Surface device has been hinted this year.
Indian app developer Shubham Chemburkar has spotted several hints during his recent visit to Microsoft’s Building 88. Microsoft has a wall decorated with their surface devices over the years, and it includes the Surface Pro 4, Surface Book, and updated Surface Pen and Type Cover (image shared via Shubham’s Twitter). However, what was the most interesting thing here was that there exists one spot on the wall with a Surface placeholder for 2016 and the caption “coming soon.”
This is the most clear indicator of the fact that a new Surface Device will indeed be coming this year, which will likely be the Surface Pro 5. According to The Verge, Microsoft has also been experimenting with Surface branded AIO PCs.
As of this moment it is expected that the company might release this All-in-One PC, and the Surface Pro 5 this year, while a standard Surface device or a Surface Mini, along with the Surface Book 2 and the much awaited Surface Phone would be finally releasing in the March of 2017.
However at this moment all the reports are based solely on speculation, and more details are to be revealed, we advise the readers to take this information with a pinch of salt, and the picture is expected to get much clearer as the months progress.
