Microsoft’s mobile phones division was one that was raising major concern off late.
The company was alarmed at the major losses they were making there, and Microsoft has now focused their efforts on developing a better mobile phone division.

- Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile OS now running on 7% of total Windows Phones:
As per the latest information obtained via AdDuplex, one of the leading mobile advertising firms of the world, it has been observed that the Windows 10 Mobile OS is now running on over 7% of the total Windows Phones of the world.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640 XL smartphones continue to be popular Windows Phones, as per the global trend.
The report adds that Lumia 520 “continues to be the most popular device in use worldwide,” though adds its popularity is steadily declining.
The Lumia 520 has a market share of 14.6 percent in Windows Phone devices worldwide.
Microsoft announced in October that the Windows 10 Mobile rollout to all Windows Phone 8.1 handsets with 8GB of inbuilt storage will begin in a phased manner starting from December.
- Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL to release in India on Monday.
Microsoft has been focusing on India off late. SatyaNadella’s country of origin, and also the world’s second largest population, India is one massive ground for them to cover, and it is expected that Microsoft has high hopes from the Indian audiences especially when their mobile phones division is concerned.
As per the latest announcement from the company, Microsoft’s Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will be releasing in the Indian markets tomorrow, the 30th of November!
- World’s Thinnest Windows Phone launched ‘Every Phone’
Windows Phones have quickly been attracting many mobile phone makers, new as well as established.
The latest to join the Windows Phones productions is Yamada Denki, a Japan based company who have been making the news lately as they have released a new phone called ‘Every Phone’, and the specialty of this phone is that it is worlds thinnest Windows Phone device!
As per NDTV reports, It features a 6.9mm side profile which makes it as thin as the iPhone 6. The handset measures 154.8×78.6mm and weighs 139 grams.
To recall, the Lumia 830 measuring 8.5mm was earlier considered as the thinnest Windows smartphone; though Microsoft’s Lumia 950 became the thinnest Windows phone with a profile of 8.2mm.
Running Windows 10 Mobile, the handset comes preloaded with Office Mobile apps such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint among others.
The Japanese company also claims the Every Phone is the first non-Lumia handset to run the new operating system, Windows 10 Mobile.
