The picture you see above is not some junk jewelery motif that looks like a watch or a smartwear. The device that is being shown above is the Misfit Ray, a device launched by Misfit, that is a company manufacturing health related techwear primarily. Misfit has been taken over by Fossil last year, which in itself is a big company that deals with watch and modern jewelery.
The Misfit Ray is a device that will help keep health problems at bay because it works by keeping track of the number of steps you have taken, the number of hours you have slept, etc. The device is rather slim and looks wonderful. The best part of this is that you do not really have to worry about the product being either too heavy or chunky, as it is just the right wear. Also, unlike previous devices manufactured under the wearable section of Fossil or Misfit, the device does not have a plastic look, neither does it fall off from the band you attach it to. The Misfit Ray can attach itself to any device very securely.
The reason the gadget can get itself secured so well with the rubber, leather or chainlink kinds of materials is because it contains spring based aluminum clips that are almost 8mm in size, so that the device does not fall off the band it is tied on to.
The wearable can be used in water while you swim too. There is a small issue, though. The device can only last up to 50 meters of swimming only, after which it will slowly start to give way under stress of water.
The device is extremely trendy looking. It can be worn either on the wrist or as a pendant around the neck. Instead of a whole set of controls there is just one LED that alerts you with different colors of lights.
Of course, the price of the device has not been declared yet, but it is expected to be within the acceptable price range.
