Microsoft has been a company which has never backed away from daring to do the different. The company, in a time when the mobile phone markets were showing no space for a new OS, tried the Windows Phone OS, and it did work for a brief while. Though failing to make a major impact, it did come out as a third leg of what was a two legged market. Microsoft, with the Surface Phone, now wants to expand their territory in the markets of smartphone technology. The Surface Phone is expected to help give the Windows 10 Mobile OS a major push, and the company is now looking forward towards major changes.
Microsoft, with the arrival of their brand new Surface Phone device, will actually be introducing the third device in the Surface series of devices, as earlier they’ve had the Surface tablets and the Surface Book laptops. The Surface Mobile would be the third such addition, and it is likely to be announced during the month of October, when the company usually shows off their Surface hardware devices.
Microsoft’s Surface Phone is expected to come out with a large number of new and advanced features, and there are rumors that the device will also feature an iPhone like round button in the center which will double up as a fingerprint scanner too. This has been reportedly called the ‘start button’, which was an iconic part of all the windows offerings and still exists in a varied form in the Windows 10 OS.
With the Surface Phone, Microsoft is now looking forward towards innovating their hardware offerings, and the company is now looking forward to tap into the niche of business class users. With this release, the company is offering a device powerful enough to give some modern day computers a run for their money, and Microsoft is all set to innovate towards the markets of the gen-next technology. This is also the last time Microsoft is trying to give their mobile phone division a major shot.
