For a company which has been making it to the news every day off late, Microsoft has remained quite calm.
The company has been making it to the news over various issues, good or bad off late.
While the news were all about the ‘expected’ features of the Windows 10 OS before it released, post release, it is about expectations vs reality, and about the bugs that have been hitting the OS.
However, luckily, for Microsoft, the news concerning the OS has been largely positive.
It has however affected the Mobile phones division as the Lumia series of devices have been bombing in the market, and after the Nokia deal, Microsoft has amassed losses over the tune of 7.6 Billion USD.
The company has also faced a loss of 7800 employees following this fiasco.
The company is on a rebuilding stage now, and is coming out with several hardware devices.
The company has a major hardware launch on the 6th of October, and following are the devices which are expected to finally release on the day:
- Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL:
These two phones have been amongst one of the most popular rumors on the internet with everyone claiming something about them. Microsoft, on their part, have maintained a stunning silence over the two phones. The company has been planning these phones for quite a long time codenamed as ‘Talkman’ and ‘Cityman’, and they are expected to be the highlight of the night on the 6th of October. These devices are also popularly rumored as Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL and are said to come out with iris scanners and facial tracking. However we’d take that with a pinch of salt till anything is officially announced.
- XBOX One SLIM:
Slimmer technology has been dominating the markets since a very long time. From the computers to the laptops to the tablets – every device that exists has seen a weight loss, and now it’s the turn of the consoles. The company is expected to release a thinner, slimmer XBOX One SLIM on the 6th of October.
- Surface Pro 4:
Another of Microsoft’s tightly kept secrets, there’s nothing that is known about the Surface Pro 4 as of now other than the fact that it will be a more powerful device than any of the past Surface devices, and it will feature the Windows 10 OS out of the box. The device is also likely to have a similar, if not the same form factor as the previous devices.
