It has been just a little over a year since the LG G Pad 3 has come out, and it has now become one of the first few tablets to officially get the Android Lollipop upgrade.
An OTA upgrade is also available, and a company update is also out for some users and is expected to hit the users at large very soon.
The tablet has been one of the superior tablets in the market and has been released by LG in October of 2013.
The fact that an update is out for this tablet so early is surprising to many as a lot of people thought that there would be many other devices getting this update before this one. however, the LG 8.3 has surprised us all with this update.
Also, since this tablet runs a stock version of android the users will be able to make use of the full features of the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade where they would see the Lollipop in all its might.
Also what is worth noticing is the fact that this update has only come out for the Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3, and is not out for the retail version as of now.
This is a common trend every year as we have often noticed that GPE (Google Play Edition) devices are amongst the first one to receive new updates. However this is all a game of predictions.
An update for the normal version of the device has not been declared yet. This being the stock version of android, the 5.0 will bring all its features here – such as the all new ‘material design’, the updated lock screen and the all new notification system.
There has been a lot of improvements when we look at the graphics and the performance of the tablet over all, and then there has been this alleged improvement in the battery life too.
All these features come to the LG G Pad 8.3 GPE, which is one of the better devices of recent times. It comes with 8.3 inches of screen and 273ppi Pixel Density, an internal 16GB memory with 2GB of RAM and expandable memory of as much as 64GB.
It also comes loaded with a 5MP Camera and a 1.3MP front camera.
The device comes with 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version of Android, but can be updated to 4.4.4 and now finally the android 5.0 – Lollipop.
