Off late a very large number of names have been competing in the Indian markets for the market share and many of them have been making a significant impact.
Micromax has been one of the leaders when it comes to the Indian markets, and the leading Indian brand with over 16% control over the Indian markets.
Lava is another such Indian made name which has been making it to the news off late.
In the last few days they have released several phones – they released an Android One phone ‘pixel’, followed by the Lava Iris Selfie, which has now been followed by yet another phone in the iris series, which also has an impressive front camera.
The latest phone from lava has been the Lava Iris X5 4G.
The Lava Iris X5 4G is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phone and it comes with a decent 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display which offers a pixel density of 294ppi.

The Lava Iris X5 4G comes powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Iris X5 4G comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The rear camera features scene detection, face recognition, low light enhancement, Panorama, geo tagging, burst shot, smile shot, and HDR options.
On the connectivity front, the Iris X5 4G, apart from 4G, offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth options.
The Lava Iris X5 4G also packs a 2500mAh battery, measures 141.6×70.8×7.6mm, and weighs 128 grams.
The smartphone will be available in Black and White colours, according to Amazon India listing.
It packs sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
The phone has been introduced at a price of 10,750 – it is interesting to price it 750 above 10,000, which is the standard competing price in Indian markets.
