2016 is going to be an interesting year. It is going to be the year that several changes come along in the world of technology.
With the Windows 10 Mobile OS and Android Marshmallow bringing major software and hardware changes in the markets, and with the expected iPhone 7 coming out, drastic changes are expected.
While the world of technology progresses, 2016 will also be the year Virtual Reality goes mainstream.
That will be the year that will be crucial for the development of the future of the world of technology as Internet of Things would start taking over from next year onwards.
In the next ten years the roadmap is going to be changed completely and 2016 is expected to be a crucial year.
Several companies have thrown their hats in the ring, and so has Microsoft. For Microsoft, 2016 is going to be a major year.
The company will enter into its 42nd year of existence next April, and is expected to release several major devices next year, including the future of Surface series, and the next gen wearable devices as well as devices that will take it towards Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality – i.e. HoloLens.
Amidst all this, there’s a device which is expected to help propel the mobile phones division, Microsoft Mobiles towards greater successes.
That device is currently being developed under the codename of ‘Juggernaut Alpha’.
The phone is expected to not release under the Lumia branding, under which Microsoft has been releasing all of their phone so far, but would instead by re-branded and re-packaged as an all new element of the Surface series of devices, and will be called a ‘Surface Phone’.
The release of this phone is expected to take place around March 2016, around the same time Samsung, HTC and the rest come out with their flagships.
This is expected to add strength to the mobile phones division with the surface branding, as well as help the surface series grow further.
The Surface Phone Juggernaut Alpha is expected to release with a 5.5-inch display with QHD screen resolution. It is said to be powered by desktop class Intel Atom x3 (SoFIA) 64-bit processor.
The phone is expected to release with a 21-megapixel PureView Zeiss 6-lens primary camera, and an 8-megapixel Zeiss wide-angle shooter in the front.
