One of the most popular rivalries in the world of technology is the one that exists between Apple and Samsung. The two companies have been behind each other since quite some time, be it in the markets or be it in the world of business. Their battles begin from retail stores and go up to courtrooms and at no point does it look like it is cooling down. However this is only in the mobile phones division as Samsung continues to supply Apple with various parts via its other subsidiaries and divisions. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and the iPhone 6s are expected to take this fight forward.
With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7 in the coming months, Samsung is taking the fight to the next level as it upgrades its features to match those of the iPhone 6s. Following are two critical upgrades that Samsung is expected to bring along in its upcoming device:
- Pressure Sensitive Display
Samsung is all set to bring in a ‘pressure sensitive screen’ as per a report from the Wall Street Journal. This comes in as Samsung’s effort to gain a one-up on the 3D touch technology patented by Apple. Samsung’s pressure sensitive display is pretty much the same technology packed under a different name. This will give a much needed edge to Samsung.
- Vivid Photos
When Apple introduced Live Photos with the iOS 9 update, the company had an offering which was unlike anything anyone had ever done before. Apple have always been the innovators in the world of technology and they took this image forward to the next level with the release of the live photos. Samsung is expected to be working on a similar update with vivid photos – an update which brings in a similar offering minus the audio!
With these two features becoming a part of the Samsung devices now, the company has stepped up for a bigger challenge as it locks horns with the iPhone 6s and 6s plus devices.
