Instagram has been a platform which has been showing a major growth in the recent few years. The company has been coming out with updates and upgrades which have helped them grow further and deeper into the markets. The company was acquired by Facebook, and has since then been growing at an even rapid rate. With over 400 million users on the platform today, the company has been growing a bigger user base than many other similar platforms.
Instagram has been updating their services with many such offerings in the past. The app has now been updated to the latest version where the users can now log in with multiple accounts using one application, as well as get the ability to do much more. The last update for Instagram gave the users the ability to view the number of video views instead of the number of likes (hearts) on the videos.
The latest update from Instagram has now been announced via their official blog, and while it has not rolled out yet, it will be coming out in the next few weeks to follow and is going to make a major change to the way we know the platform to be. Instagram is about to get this update which is going to make the users view the news feed in an order of ‘relevance’ instead of an order of chronology.
The company has officially announced this change as:
“The order of photos and videos in your feed will be based on the likelihood you’ll be interested in the content, your relationship with the person posting and the timeliness of the post. As we begin, we’re focusing on optimizing the order — all the posts will still be there, just in a different order.
If your favorite musician shares a video from last night’s concert, it will be waiting for you when you wake up, no matter how many accounts you follow or what time zone you live in. And when your best friend posts a photo of her new puppy, you won’t miss it”
