One of the fastest rising brands of recent times, the Honor brand, created by Huawei, has been expanding like never before. The company has been reaching newer markets with a rapid pace, and has now reached one of the biggest markets for them – the Huawei Honor 5X. The company had been eyeing these markets for quite a while, as they become one of the first China based names to bring their value-for-money offerings to the American audiences.
The device comes into the markets at a price tag of $200, off-contract, and will release into the markets with an aluminium body. The phone comes in with a 5.5 inched screen, featuring a display of 1080p.
The Huawei Honor 5X releases with a fingerprint sensor, along with a Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB of RAM, as well as 16GB of expandable storage. The phone also features a solid camera, which stands in at 13MP in the back and 5MP in the front.
The phone releases with one nano-SIM and one Micro-SIM slot, while, both of them support the 4G LTE connectivity. The phone releases into the markets with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and runs on Huawei’s Emotion UI. The phone is expected to release an Android 6.0 update, but not any time soon.
The phone comes in with that kind of a value for money combination which has been lacking in the American markets for quite a long time. The company has been coming out with devices featuring this formula for quite some time now in the Asian markets, and this has been doing quite well for them here. They now intends to take it to a bigger market.
American and European audiences could be exactly what the company has been lacking, and this could help give them a major boost. Huawei recently received major goodwill and international recognition after the Huawei Nexus 6P device was launched.
