The Facebook Messenger has been one of the leading names in the world of technology when it comes to communication based applications. The messenger has been the second most Facebook application following the Facebook app in itself. With over 1.6 Billion facebook users, over 800 million (50%) of them are on the Facebook Messenger service. Facebook is now trying to introduce major changes to their system and is trying hard to innovate their offerings. Two major changes are underway –
- Ads on Facebook Messenger
According to documents obtained via Tech Crunch, the Messenger is all set to get ads on it. Users would soon be getting ads via the pages that they have previously interacted with. In that document, Facebook has briefed the pages to have more and more users interact with them and open chat bubbles with them. The update is expected to roll out by the 2nd Quarter of 2016. This is all set to innovate the world of advertising on Facebook as we know it to be.
- Multiple Account Support
Multiple Account Support for the Facebook Messenger was announced by the company a few days ago last week, and has now started rolling out for the users. The company believes that there are a large number of users who use shared tablets and phones to access the Facebook Messenger. This update is all set to provide comfortable access to these users.
The company has also promised that despite using a shared device having two users logged in at the same time on the Facebook Messenger, the users will not face any violation of their privacy as no content will be visible to the other user.
The company has been trying to push this messenger application forward and has been adding newer features to it in recent times. The Facebook Messenger now supports Uber integration and much more.
