Samsung has been one of the smartest companies in the world when it comes to smartphone technology.
While the company chose a very opportune timing to jump into the industry, it was the biggest benefactor of the Android revolution, as it started releasing devices as if it were ‘carpet bombing’.
You name your price or the required features, and Samsung had a phone for you!
The company has been relentlessly releasing phones and has become one of the leading names across countries.
Why we call Samsung a ‘smart’ player in these markets is because it has also managed to create ‘dual flagships’ – the Samsung Galaxy Note series and the Samsung Galaxy S series of phones.
Twice a year does Samsung release these phones, and they’ve all done well for the company.
Off late, there have been various leaks and rumors in the markets that surround the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung’s latest smartphone:
- Samsung’s Galaxy S7 leaked benchmarked scores ‘record-breaking’
As per NDTV reports, a Samsung smartphone with model number SM-G9300, which is expected to release as the Samsung Galaxy S7, has been seen in a leaked benchmark running the Exynos 8890 SoC, via GSMArena.
The smartphone reportedly posted a record-breaking high score of 103,692. Unfortunately, nothing more has been mentioned about the smartphone.
It is expected that the S7 will release with the Snapdragon 820 SoC in some markets, and in others with Exynos 8890 SoC. More details are awaited!
- MicroSD card support expected to return with Samsung Galaxy S7:
MicroSD Card support was one feature that was pulled out from the Samsung Galaxy S series of phones as well as from the Note series last year.
This was widely criticized and quite uncalled for. None of the Samsung flagships that came out this year (Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy Note 5, and Galaxy S6 Edge+) received this feature.
It is now being expected that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature the return of the MicroSD card support. A magnesium alloy build for the smartphone is also expected.
- Britecell Camera Sensor likely to be shipped with the Samsung Galaxy S7
On Monday’s investor forum, Samsung showed off their latest ‘Britecell Camera Sensor’. Samsung has claimed that their latest camera sensor will help enhance the light sensitivity in low lighting conditions with less color artefact.
In more details, a trademark application was leaked earlier this month suggesting details from Samsung’s upcoming Britecell camera sensor recently.
It is widely expected that this will be a part of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 phone.
