Jens Bergensten, a developer for Minecraft has recently tweeted an image, along with a tweet which says that a new, three block arm model for characters is coming up soon in an update.
In the update characters will feature slimmer arms of characters, with the arms breadth being of three blocks instead of the traditional four blocks.
Although it is not a major change, but it will add a new charm to the characters, and will give them a fresher look for the hardcore gamer, who will notice this change as quite a big one. It will also make the characters look more visually appealing.
Although, for those who still prefer the large, 4 blocked version of the arms, Minecraft has not forced this update and this is an option that they can choose via their profile. This feature, however, is still on a testing phase and is yet to be officially launched.
This update comes as a relief and a smell of fresh air for those who had been complaining about how bulked up the arms of the characters looked and how odd they seemed.
It is indeed good to know that the developers at minecraft have been listening to the fans and have been quick in responding towards their needs and complaints, by coming up with this three block arm model. It gives the characters a nicer and a fresher look, breaking the monotony in the process.
Since its release in 2011, minecraft has been one of the most popular games and the world of minecraft has witnessed over sixteen million copies of the game being sold on PC itself.
Minecraft has had a cult fan following and has seen huge success in terms of player participation and involvement.
When the game was launched, they had no one to promote it, and just by word of mouth publicity they managed to cross the one million sales mark in a month! Minecraft, since its inception and till date, has indeed been a great success story.
