Microsoft has been a company which has been coming out with update after update and has been changing the way the markets work. The company has been bringing out many new innovations in their offerings, and have become the undisputed champions in the world of software technology. Microsoft has now been focusing on their efforts in the hardware business, and the company is now coming out with even more changes which are expected to help them move further into the hardware markets. With the arrival of their Windows 10 Mobile OS, Microsoft is expected to witness a boost in both, the hardware as well as software markets.
Microsoft’s Windows 10 Mobile OS has been expected to release for all the phones since December last year. The company has been delaying the update from time to time, and the word in the markets is that the update will be rolling out for all the devices which can support it before the end of this month.
The Windows 10 Mobile OS runs on many new Windows phones, but when we look at phones released by Microsoft, it runs on only three devices – the Lumia 950, Lumia 550 and Lumia 650.
A total of 14 phones, 9 phablets and 2 tablets are officially running the Windows 10 Mobile OS as of now (the list can be viewed here)
Users of the other Lumia phones can update their devices once the Windows 10 Mobile update officially rolls out for all the users. As of now the update has been reported to be available for a few devices such as the Lumia 535 in some middle eastern countries, but the update has yet to arrive for the phones.
Microsoft has been delaying the updates constantly, and the final launch is expected to happen in early April when it will release for all the compatible devices.
