Apple has been a company which has been coming out with constant updates and upgrades for their devices. The company has been innovating their offerings over time, and has managed to change the way people perceive their products. The company, with the iPad, the iPod and the iPhone has brought out a serious change in the user perception, and has been working towards innovating the markets ever since. Apple is now working on their next big launch – the iPhone SE.
Apple’s iPhone SE has been anticipated to come out with several different names. The earliest we heard of it, it was expected to be the iPhone 6c, then the 6e, then an iPhone 7c was speculated. Following that, there were rumors of a 5E, and it all finally settled down at the iPhone 5SE. Now it looks like the company has decided to drop the number altogether as the device will just be the iPhone SE.
SE stands for Special Edition.
The iPhone SE is expected to showcase a 4 inched screen, and will be releasing along with an A9 processor. The device is expected to run on the iOS 9.3, and it is being said that it will feature a smaller battery for a smaller screen. The phone is expected to carry only 1652mAh of battery life.
The device will bear the same looks as that of the iPhone 6s, but unlike the latest devices, it is not expected to support the 3D touch and the ability to capture live photos.
The iPhone SE is also expected to come out in a special, rose-gold variant. The pricing for the phone and its variants is unclear as of now, but the phone is expected to be priced in similar to the rates of the iPhone 5S.
The Apple iPhone SE will be releasing on the 21st of March, along with the iPad Air 3.
